Ma's Goodie's began the way the best things often do — out of necessity and a little bit of stubbornness. As a mum of four with sensitive skin in the family, I found myself frustrated with products that were full of chemicals, harsh on skin, and yet still came with a luxury price tag. So I started making my own.
Where It All Began
What started as experimenting in my Auckland kitchen — melting oils, blending butters, and testing recipes on willing family members — quickly turned into something bigger. Friends started asking for bars. Then friends of friends. And somewhere along the way, Ma's Goodie's was born.
That was back in 2020, and every product we make today still carries that same original intention: to create skincare that feels genuinely luxurious, uses ingredients you can actually pronounce, and is gentle enough for even the most sensitive skin.
What We Believe In
We're not a big factory brand. We're a small New Zealand business, and we think that's worth something. Here's what that means in practice:
Small-batch, always. Every product is handcrafted in small batches so we can maintain quality and care in every single bar, cream, and scrub we make.
Ingredients that actually nourish. We use plant oils, natural butters, botanical extracts, and genuine New Zealand ingredients like manuka honey — because your skin deserves the real thing.
No nasties. No sulfates, no parabens, no synthetic detergents. Just clean, effective, skin-loving formulations.
Honest and transparent. We list every ingredient, keep our practices ethical, and genuinely stand behind everything we make.

I started Ma's Goodie's because I wanted better for my family's skin. Today I get to share that with customers all across New Zealand — and honestly, hearing that someone's eczema has calmed down, or that our soap is the only one their child can use, never gets old.
